Trevor Gliwski, Director of Instruction
Trevor has been with the Academy since 2000. His teaching experience began in 1994, within this time Trevor has worked with every level of player, from beginner to PGA Tour professionals. In 2003, Trevor achieved a Class A Membership status from the PGA of America. In 2006 and recently in 2009 Trevor was voted one of the “Top 50 Teachers” in the State of Florida by Golf Digest Magazine. Another accolade includes being named in the “Top 10 Golf Professionals in Naples" by Gulfshore Life Magazine. Trevor has been recruited by www.pga.com and www.yahoogolf.com to be part of each of their elite PGA Golf Instructors Panel. This honor entails him writing articles for each website on a monthly basis. In 2007, 2008, and 2009, he was nominated by his peers for "Teacher of the Year" for the Southwest Chapter of the PGA. Trevor is a graduate of the University of South Carolina at Coastal Carolina College and was Medalist in four NCAA Division I tournaments, which included the Big South Conference Championship. In 1990 he qualified for the United States Amateur and in 1992 won the Massachusetts State Amateur Championship. Trevor also has experience playing on various professional tours throughout the United States and in Canada. |

Kathy Padgett, Academy Instructor
Kathy is from Port Washington, Wisconsin. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona where she also played college golf for the Lady Wildcats finishing 4th in the nation in 1980. Kathy has qualified for four U.S. Opens and was a nominee for Golf Magazine’s "Top 100 Golf Instructors" in 1998. Kathy is very active in teaching all levels of golf from novice players to low handicappers. She is a LPGA Teaching Professional with over 20 years of golf experience, receiving several awards such as the LPGA Southeast Section "Junior Teacher of the Year" award (2004) and the "Paul Harris Fellow Award" from The Rotary Club for her dedication to junior golf. |

Tom O’Brien, Academy Instructor
Tom has been an Instructor for the Academy since 2002. Tom was hand-picked personally to be a part of the team. He started at Myopia Hunt Club before moving on to Fishers Island, located off the coast of Long Island, where for 17 summers he was the Head Golf Professional. During the winters Tom taught in Florida, and for years was the Director of Instruction at John's Island Club in Vero Beach. He was a four year starter, playing his college golf at Bentley University. He has received much recognition during his career including being nominated by his peers as Teacher of the Year in the Connecticut Section PGA as well as Southwest Chapter of the South Florida Section PGA in years 2008 & 2009. Tom received Honorable Mention for US Kids Top 50 Instructors list for 2008, 2009 & 2010. Most recently Tom won the Junior Leader award for the Southwest Florida Chapter of the PGA for 2010. He has completed the Certified Golf Coaching training program and over the past five years, five of his High School students have gone on to earn College Golf Scholarships |
